Salam Ramadhan!

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Loving

Peace be upon you

How is your health? How are your iman and amal today? Hope everything is in the sweetest condition. Hope it is still not too late to wish everyone happy fasting month! Welcome dear Ramadhan Al-Mubarak! It is so true that Allah is the most loving for He has given us a month to grab every good reward we need for the sake of hereafter. We can even finish four cases in a month (for us, medical students at Universitas Padjadjaran. Hehe..) Indeed it is a long time and we can do many things in this very special month.

"And ask forgiveness of your Lord and turn unto Him in repentance. Verily, my Lord is Most Merciful, Most Loving."

(Hud, 11;90)

Alhamdulillah for we are still breathing to feel the air of today’s Ramadan. Nobody knows if today would be our last day.

And We have sent down to you (O Muhammad PBUH) the Book (this Qur'an) in truth, confirming the Scripture that came before it and Muhaymin (trustworthy in highness and a witness) over it (old Scriptures) . So judge among them by what Allah has revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging away from the truth that has come to you. To each among you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way. If Allah had willed, He would have made you one nation, but that (He) may test you in what He has given you; so compete in good deeds. The return of you (all) is to Allah; then He will inform you about that in which you used to differ.

(Al-Maidah, 5;48)

This Ramadan is specially brought to you by Allah, as stated in our holy learning guide.

O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious).

[Observing Saum (fasts)] for a fixed number of days, but if any of you is ill or on a journey, the same number (should be made up) from other days. And as for those who can fast with difficulty, (e.g. an old man), they have (a choice either to fast or) to feed a Miskin (poor person) (for every day). But whoever does good of his own accord, it is better for him. And that you fast is better for you if only you know.

The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Saum (fasts) that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe Saum (fasts) must be made up] from other days. Allah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allah [i.e. to say Takbir (Allahu Akbar; Allah is the Most Great] for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him.

And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad PBUH) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright.

(Al-Baqarah, 2;183-186)

Try to read this. Hope it helps us to keep going strong until the end of Ramadan!

Selamat bertaqwa!

Wassalam…
